A New (sorta) Tractor

Orginally published in Equest Magazine

Wow. Yesterday, I was over a neighbor's pecan farm. I was driving his newly refurbished tractor—new engine, new everything. I drove it around and around his farm. I think it's a Farmhall...not sure...but the tires are close together on the front end and it has the really big tires on the back, and can go pretty fast (when no one is looking—hehehe). He also just had it painted red and gray. Beautiful!

I finally got done playing—I mean driving it—and brought it back to him. I told him what a wonderful tractor it is, how PERFECTLY it would suit my needs for my horse ranch and how I wished I had one like it.

He told me that it was really "too much tractor" for him and that he would sell it to me for $90.00!!! Yes, that's right...90 bucks.

Well, it's pretty close to payday...guess I can live on peanut butter and tortillas until then. How could I pass up a great deal like that? I'd be crazy! I told him I'd be back in an hour with the money...and then I woke up.

Don't you just HATE dreams like that?
